Vitamin C is a free radical scavenger. A diet rich in Vitamin C foods improves our ability cope with exposure to environmental toxins. Toxins that lead to cellular damage and increased inflammation in our body. I personally have less pain in my wrists and elbow joints when I eat a healthy diet rich in Vitamin C containing foods.
Vitamin C is used in collagen formation, and collagen is part of our skin, muscles and tendons, even our arteries. Healthy glowing skin, strong muscles and healthy arteries are important not only to our health and happiness, but to slowing our aging process.
